VALLEY CITY, N.D. — A Valley City man allegedly pointed a firearm at another vehicle on Wednesday, July 8, prompting police to locate his vehicle and conduct a traffic stop at the Petro Serve USA parking lot at approximately 4:08 p.m.; officers took 64-year-old Gregory Heckman into custody without incident. Authorities charged Heckman with driving under the influence and terrorizing this week after officers recovered a firearm during the stop; the Valley City Police Department was assisted by the Barnes County Sheriff's Office and the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
